Mikinaak Indigenous Student Bursary

Learn about NADF's Student Bursary Program, including eligibility, application details, and support available for Indigenous students pursuing their education.

The Mikinaak Indigenous Student Bursary supports Indigenous students from Northern Ontario who are pursuing post-secondary education. Named after the turtle (mikinaak in Anishinaabemowin), a symbol of resilience and growth, this bursary helps students take the next step in their educational journey.

At NADF, we believe education is a key pathway to building strong, vibrant communities. The Mikinaak Bursary is one way we support the next generation of Indigenous leaders, innovators, and changemakers.

This bursary is made possible through proceeds raised at two of our annual fundraising events: the NADF Awards and the NADF ‘Fairways for the Future' Golf Classic. Funds are generated through the generous support of sponsors and donors who are committed to advancing opportunities for Indigenous youth.
